Travel & GIVE’s executive team, Speech Therapists Martine Harris and Maxine Woodhouse, Occupationl Therapist Alison Matous, and Behavior Specialist Juanita Morgan, traveled to Nairobi to implement the Telehealth program at Almasi School – one of the only schools in the country of Nairobi that has an special education inclusion program. TAG volunteers facilitated a Special Eduation workshop for parents and teachers (with a focus on Individualized Educational Program and showed staff at the Almasi school how to navigate TAG’s Telehealth program. From there, TAG volunteers visited the Angel Centre for Abandoned Children where Juanita facilited staff burn-out workshops, and Maxine, Martine, and Alison modeled circle time and other engaging activities to elicit speech, fine, and gross motor abilities.
